Benq Projector Instructions

BenQ projectors are overhead projectors that display media from several types of electronic devices, such as DVD players, VCRs and computers. The projectors are assembled before they are packaged and are ready for use out of the box. Connecting devices to the projector takes only a few minutes, after which the projector is ready for use.

Setup

BenQ projectors can project media from computers, DVD players, VCRs and camcorders. The connection is made through wires connected from the jacks on the devices to the jacks on the back of the projector. When hooking up a computer, connect a 15-pin RGB plug to the monitor output jack on the computer and the other end to the "RGB In-1" jack on the back of the projector.

When hooking up a DVD player, VCR or camcorder, plug the red, yellow and white component cables into the output jacks on the back of the device, and connect the other ends to the video and audio jacks on the back of the projector. The wires and jacks are color coded for easy setup.

Operation

Your BenQ projector is operated using the button controls on the top of the machine. To start projecting with the BenQ projector, plug the power cord into a wall socket. Press and hold the "Power" button on the back of the machine until the button flashes green. Turn on the power to the device you have connected to the projector.

Press the "Source" button on the projector to switch between the different device inputs on the projector. Start the media on the device you have hooked up to the projector.

If you want to hide the image projected by the BenQ projector at any time, press the "Blank" button. This will not turn off the projector, but hide the image. You can bring the image back by pressing the "Blank" button again.

Keystone and Image Adjustments

On occasion, the projected image will be wider on the top or bottom. When this occurs, you need to adjust the image with the BenQ projector's digital Keystone correction. Press the "+" button on the projector repeatedly to adjust the image when it is wider at the top. Press the "-" button when the image is wider at the bottom.

You may also find that the picture quality of the projection is poor. BenQ projectors have an automatic picture adjustment utility that automatically adjusts the picture settings. To adjust the image quality, press the "AUTO" button on the projector.
