Reset A Polycom Vsx 7000

Reset a Polycom VSX 7000

The Polycom VSX 7000 is a commercial video-conferencing system that allows you to share multimedia files with a fairly large group (up to 40 people in most medium-sized rooms). If you want to reset the system's settings, you may do so on the "Reset System" screen. You can access this screen using the Polycom's remote control and the main menu. Resetting the system restores the device to its original settings. Once it starts back up, you'll go through the original setup again.

Instructions

1. Open "System" from the main menu using your remote control. Select "Diagnostics."

2. Select "Reset Systems" to bring up the reset screen.

3. Input your Polycom VSX 7000's serial number on the keypad. You can find the serial number on the bottom of the unit. The user manual does not specify how many digits it is. Be sure to input each digit correctly, or you'll be unable to reset the system.

4. Select "System Settings" and "Directories" if you want to perform a full reset. If you only want to reset the system password and user settings, leave these boxes blank.

5. Select "Reset System" using the remote control. The system will now reset.
