Create A Good Advertising Display

A good advertising display can attract customers to your business.

Trade shows are one of the best ways to find prospective customers for your business. A recent survey from the Simmons Market Research Bureau found that more than 90 percent of trade show attendees found such events to be "extremely useful" for finding out about products they might want to buy. The best way to stand out at a trade show is with an eye-catching advertising display. With a little thought and some creativity, your business can be the hit of your next trade show.

Instructions

1. Choose what the focal point of your display will be. Think of what your potential customers will look for: your company name, your primary product or the type of service you provide.

2. Design a preliminary sketch of your display, keeping in mind the dimensions provided by the event facility. Play up the focal point you decided upon, and come up with several variations of how you could integrate it into your overall theme.

3. Decide what the background of your display will be. You can choose to use a standard foamcore board, or you can get creative by integrating fabric or canvas that's been screen printed with your company logo or product image.

4. Build your display. Be neat, and maximize your display's visual appeal by choosing images and selected verbiage (such as slogans or taglines) instead of lots of text.

5. Sell yourself. The best advertising display in the world can't compete with knowledgeable, friendly representatives who genuinely want to meet their customers' needs.
