Increase Google Page Rank

Google uses PageRank as one data point in its search-engine algorithm. All pages in Google's index have a PageRank value of between zero and 10. The ranking expresses the number and quality of other sites that link to the Web page. PageRank was originally developed to be similar to the ranking of academic articles; a higher rank is given to an article when other articles that cite it. The actual PageRank used by Google changes on a daily basis. There are a few steps to take to increase your ranking.

Instructions

1. Fill your site with compelling, high-quality content that other people will find valuable enough to link to. PageRank is an expression of how popular a page is with other sites.

2. Publicize your site on Facebook, Twitter and other networking sites. Such links will not directly increase your page rank, they may attract visitors who will link back to you.

3. Remove any reciprocal links on your site. Numerous websites exchange links in the hopes of increasing their PageRank rating. When Google discovers a link-exchange schemes, it will not count the links for PageRank. In extreme cases, Google penalizes or removes websites that engage in link schemes from its index.

4. Request that webmasters of unrelated sites remove links to your site. High-quality links trump a high number of links. You want links from sites that feature content related to your own. Links on unrelated sites may be viewed as spam and devalued.
