Create A Comment Card

Comment cards are an asset for a business. The owner and management of any kind of business can learn what their customers' reactions are to products and service. You can create a card to get help you address the strengths and needs of your business. The cards should be in a prominent place on your check-out counter or given to the customer directly to ensure that you get feedback.

Instructions

1. Jot down the questions you have about the service and product you provide. This will help you decide which things you need answers to in an attempt to reach out to your customers.

2. Practice writing out the questions as you reference the notes you jotted down. For example, start with the date and service or product provided. Go on to ask whether the customer was satisfied and if they intend to recommend your business to others.

3. Keep the comment card questions to the point by giving the customer the chance to answer it in less than 5 minutes.

4. Add an area where the customer can quickly check off several standard questions. For example, have them rate from a scale of one to five how the service was on this visit, how clean the establishment was, whether the staff was friendly and similar important areas of feedback that you need.

5. End the card with a blank area for the customer to add comments or suggestions for you to add more services or products to your business. The customer is being allowed to give you advice to help better your business.

6. Enter the information on your favorite computer word processing program.

7. Print out the cards and cut them to no larger than postcard-size. If you have a restaurant, for example, the card can easily fit in to the pocket or billing folder of the wait staff.
