Drive in favorable conditions for your GPS to work properly.
The Nissan GPS and DVD systems are electronic devices that come with newer Nissan models. These electronic systems allow you to have all of your car accessories in one convenient device. As with anything electronic, Nissan GPS and DVD systems are susceptible to a number of problems that may need to be fixed. Instead of calling the Nissan manufacturer you can troubleshoot most of these problems yourself by reading the Nissan navigation system user manual.
Instructions
1. Adjust the display settings by pressing the sun and moon button. You may need to adjust the display setting on your navigation system if your screen is too dark or bright to see or isn't displaying at all.
2. Adjust the volume by pressing the plus and minus button on the screen if no navigation voice is heard.
3. Insert the SD card and make sure that it is in the slot properly to display maps on the screen. Press the MAP button if a different display screen is on the monitor other than the map that is needed.
4. Park the Nissan vehicle that you are driving if you are having a problem accessing certain functions on the navigation system. Certain options available on the navigation menu will not be accessible if the car is in drive.
5. Drive on an open straight road for several minutes in sunny conditions. If the vehicle is being driven in unfavorable conditions, such as rain, snow or high winds the GPS monitor will be gray and no signal will be received to the system.
