Print Magnets

Make your own magnets at home to create easy and cheap decorations for your refrigerator or offer them as gifts to friends and family. Design magnets featuring any shape, person, place or thing you can imagine using simple software on your computer and clip art. Print the magnets at home using your inkjet printer for an instant gift any time of year.

Instructions

1. Open the word processing software available on your computer. Open a new document and set the size to "letter" or 8.5 inches by 11 inches.

2. Go to "Insert" at the top of the page and select "Picture" and then choose "Clip Art." Browse the available clip art and choose one that best suits the need for your magnet.

3. Resize the clip art by clicking and dragging any of the four corners around the design. Clicking and dragging the top, bottom or sides of the clip art will alter the width and height of the design as well.

4. Place a sheet of inkjet magnet paper in to your printer as directed by the manufacturer for this paper type.

5. Print the clip art as you would on regular paper.

6. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife to remove the excess magnet paper from around the magnet design. Place your homemade magnet on a refrigerator or freezer door for display.
