Nonprofit Advertising Grants

Nonprofits are eligble for free or reduced advertising.

Most funding for nonprofit advertising campaigns exists in the form of in-kind or service grants or reduced advertising rates. Sources of advertising funding include associations with similar goals and large media outlets. Sometimes, an organization will fund part of an advertisement campaign, like a brochure or website. Nonprofits might also use general grant funding to support marketing and communication efforts.

Google Grants

Nonprofits that offer services related to health, arts, education, technology and volunteerism can apply to receive $300 in Google advertising as part of the company's AdWords program. AdWords works by linking key words to advertisements. If a user enters a nonprofit's search word, the nonprofit ad will appear next to Google's search results.

Taproot Brochure Grant

Nonprofits in need of a brochure to advertise services should apply for the Taproot Foundation's "Brochure Grant," which is a service grant worth $45,000. As part of the grant, staff from Taproot will work with nonprofit representatives to write and design a print-ready brochure. The Taproot foundation also offers other communication service grants including website and marketing grants.
