Start A Health Safety Business

Health safety in the workplace is important in any job and starting your own health safety business takes motivation, research and planning. Employees are responsible for safety in their workplace and OSHA's (Occupational Safety and Health Administration's) role is to ensure the safety of health workers by setting norms enforcing regulation standards, training, education, establishment of partners, and continual improvement of the workplace safety for their employees. Always protect your employees and take the appropriate steps to ensure their safety.


Instructions


1. Write a policy. Keep a record of the necessary steps that you will take to ensure safety for your employees and customers in your health safety business.


2. Register your safety business with the Health & Safety Executive or your local authority. Post notices and times for each shift so that everyone can attend and that the shift is covered. Keep bathrooms clean at all times. Keep all equipment updated and working efficiently at all times. Make sure entrances and exits are safe and lighted well at night.


3. Fill out an accident report and make sure they get the help needed if someone gets hurt. Protect your employees. Be sure that your employees have everything they need to do their work efficiently and safely.


4. Record every accident and illness. The law requires you do report what happens to your employees during their shift. You must have liability insurance to cover you for employees in case of physical injury or disease that is work related. Keep your certificate current and in physical view in the workplace. Give free safety classes to ensure that your employees know the safety regulations. Also, regulate fire drills and make sure that employees know what to do in case of a fire.


5. Review regularly. Read your policies at least once or twice a year. Keep them current and within the law.
