Write A Friendly Marketing Affiliate Email

A well-written affiliate marketing email with a friendly, conversational tone can be a linchpin toward greater profits for your Internet marketing business. When it comes to sales in general and Internet sales in particular, many customers automatically have their guards up. With the extra awareness of scams, especially over the Web, it is more important than ever to put people at ease by being friendly and talking to them as opposed to at them. Even then, not everyone will believe you are genuine, but with the right words, you will manage to convert a few skeptics.

Instructions

1. Create an eye-catching subject line, starting with a verb that compels the reader to act, such as "Open" or "Read." You want the reader to feel comfortable, so stay away from such subject lines as "Buy my Book to Make Millions of Dollars." That just tells the reader that you're after his money. A more effective line is "Open Now for a Rare Opportunity to Eliminate Your Debt." This line compels the reader and makes him feel like it is tailored to his situation. Everyone has debt, and you're giving him a chance to get rid of it.

2. Write in a conversational tone. Don't concentrate on being overly formal or wordy. You want your potential customer to feel at ease, so talk to her as you would a friend.

3. Write the body in a way that relates to the reader. Start by telling him that you understand what he is going through (better if you have experienced it yourself). Continue by describing the affiliate product you are selling and how it changed your situation for the better. Finish by encouraging him to try it (hopefully with a refund or some other kind of out if the product doesn't work) for himself and stating that you know it will help him, too. It doesn't get friendlier than offering to help someone resolve a difficult problem.

4. Proofread for spelling errors and grammatical mistakes, but don't change the content of your message. To be friendly and inviting, your first thoughts work best. The more you manipulate and change the email, the less natural and friendly it will come off.
