Monitoring your Return on Investment is key to understanding if your Google Adwords campaign is performing well or underperforming.

1. In your Google account statistics you can access Google Conversion Tracking. This Conversion Tracking clearly tells you rather you're conversion goals (i.e. sales, branding) have been meet.
2. Once you've analyzed the information provided in your Google Conversion Tracking you can decide what the best budget and Cost Per Click bids will be for your advertising goals.
3. The conversion analysis will also highlight keywords that are recieving untargeted clicks. These untargeted clicks may result in a poorer conversion on those particular keywords. So you want to avoid attracting those untargeted visitors by deleting the keyword from your campaign or changing the match type on that keyword.
4. Conversion analysis will also let allow you to see rather your branding messages are getting across by seeing how many users are signing up for newsletters or memberships.
5. Google Analytics is another free feature that Google provides which will provide much needed information about how visitors and how they explored your site.
