DHgate is a business-to-business online marketplace connecting Chinese manufacturers and wholesalers to clients around the world. It offers a wide variety of goods from businesses throughout China that are in demand by importers and drop-shippers outside of China. The site features buyer protection payment isn't released until you receive and are satisfied with what you've purchased. If you have a problem with a seller, you should file a dispute using the dispute feature of the DHgate site so that the DHgate resolution center can intervene on your behalf.
Instructions
1. Log in to your account on DHgate with your usual log-in and password.
2. Click on "My DHgate" at the top right hand corner of the site and then click on "Active orders" on the sidebar menu at the left of your "My DHgate" page.
3. Click on the order in your "Active orders" list that you wish to dispute.
4. Click on the "Refund and return" prompt and enter details of your complaint and your request for a refund in the appropriate boxes. Wait five days for a response.
5. Return to your "My DHgate" page after the five-day period has elapsed and make sure there is no communication from the seller in your messages and notifications box. Click on the "Refund and dispute" page and open the record for the item in question.
6. Click on the "Refund and dispute" tab and then click on "Escalate Case to DHgate" at the bottom of the list of choices in the "Action" column. You will be contacted by the Resolution Center in 7 business days if you are a regular member, two days if you are a gold member, three days if you are a silver member and five days if you are a bronze member.
7. Respond to any requests for proof and information, such as images of the defective products you received or proof of non-delivery such as a page showing no information for the tracking number you received.
8. Wait up to 15 days for final resolution of your dispute.
