A CV may be required to apply for an advanced position.
A CV, or curriculum vitae, is needed to apply to different types of advanced positions. You can write a basic, simple CV in a matter of minutes once you learn what sections to include. Unlike a resume, a CV can be several pages long, so it might take a bit of time to write than a traditional resume. However, if your resume is already completed, you can write your CV even faster because much of the information is duplicated. Keeping the information simple will also help you write it faster.
Instructions
1. Type your name and contact information, including your address, phone number and email.
2. Create a section for your objective. Your objective states your reason for writing your CV, such as the specific position you are applying for or the industry you are applying in.
3. List your education. Include the university, location, your area of study, the degree you received and your graduation date. You can also list training programs you have completed that are relevant to your career.
4. List your work experience. For each position, list the employer, your title, the location and your dates of employment. You can also include about three bullet points under each position that briefly describe your roles and responsibilities on the job.
5. Create a section for your community involvement if you do volunteer work. Have two to three items to list in this section before creating it. All you need to include is your role and the affiliated institution or organization, such as "Dog and Puppy Caretaker at the ASPCA."
